About Dr. Andrew Martinez

Dr. Andrew Martinez is a pediatric neuropsychologist specializing in autism, neuropsychological, and psychological evaluations. He founded ANS to provide a more personalized, patient-centered evaluation experience—one that emphasizes flexibility, convenience, and clear, direct communication throughout the process.

Dr. Martinez has experience working across clinical, school, and community settings and frequently evaluates children, adolescents, and adults with complex learning profiles, autism, and overlapping developmental or emotional concerns. His approach is thoughtful and thorough, with a strong focus on objectivity and practical recommendations that families and schools can use with confidence.

Dr. Martinez earned his PhD in School Psychology from Texas A&M University, with specialized training in neuropsychology. He completed a two-year pediatric neuropsychology fellowship at Cook Children’s Medical Center, where he developed extensive experience evaluating children with diverse developmental, learning, and medical needs.

Following his fellowship, Dr. Martinez joined a pediatric teaching hospital in South Texas, where he currently works as a pediatric neuropsychologist and Associate Professor. He also co-founded and serves in a leadership role within the hospital’s autism clinic.

Dr. Martinez is licensed in Texas as both a Licensed Psychologist (LP) and a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP). His work includes school-based and clinical evaluations, as well as close collaboration with families, educators, and other professionals to support children across home, school, and community settings.

Evaluation Philosophy

Dr. Martinez’s approach to evaluation is thorough, individualized, and grounded in evidence-based practices. Each assessment is tailored to the referral questions and unique needs of the individual, with careful attention to developmental history, current functioning, and contextual factors.

Reports are designed to be clear, clinically sound, and practically useful, with recommendations that can be implemented across settings when appropriate.

Direct Care & Communication

All evaluations are completed by Dr. Martinez personally. He does not subcontract evaluation services, allowing for direct communication, consistency throughout the evaluation process, and accountability from intake through feedback and reporting.
