FAQs

What services do you offer?

We provide neuropsychological and psychological evaluations from toddler years into adulthood. We also provide educational advocacy.

How soon can we schedule an evaluation?

This is a frequently asked question. ANS does not have a waitlist. Evaluations can be scheduled within 1-2 weeks. Most families have a completed evaluation within 2-3 weeks after the initial consultation. This timeline may vary based on your availability.

How can we schedule an evaluation?

You can contact ANS by phone or text at 210-201-0141 or by email at drandrew@ansevals.com to schedule a complimentary initial consultation.

Do you accept insurance?

At this time, ANS does not accept insurance. All services are private pay, and payment is due prior to starting an evaluation. While we do not accept insurance, ANS provides a "Super Bill" so families can request "out of network" reimbursements through their insurance. Families may also use Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA). We accept credit, debit, or ACH payments.

Where are you located?

ANS is based out of San Antonio; however, we provide evaluations across Texas.

What is the evaluation process?

Evaluations typically follow this process:

  • An initial consultation to meet Dr. Martinez. Consults usually last between 15-45 minutes. These consultations are used to better understand the family's concerns and the services ANS can provide.

  • Parents complete a background history form and formal behavioral rating. Dr. Martinez will also review any medical and/or educational records.

  • In-person evaluation that is conducted in the comfort of your home or a clinic office. Evaluations include administering "face-to-face" tests. Appointments usually last between 3-5 hours.

  • Dr. Martinez meets with the families to discuss testing results. These meetings usually last between 30-60 minutes and occur about 1-2 weeks after all testing is completed and forms are returned. The goal is that the family understands all testing results and the "game plan" for the individual.

What types of tests/assessments are administered?

Tests will vary but may include the following areas:

  • Intelligence

  • Achievement

  • Language

  • Processing Speed

  • Attention

  • Executive Function
